Daffodil for March,With Roll Tatting

Well March isn't over yet, Have been working with the "Flower of the Month" before March, but now it's almost gone. I feel is most interesting is using the "Roll Tatting" It is kind of fun, but must be kept under control.

So far this is the best one.

This is one of my husbands favorite flower and I will make more for Easter projects
Here are some attempts, the larger flower in the yellow has the nice crumpled tatting that was used in Victorian times
and has 4 half stitches and 4 other half stitches which makes that pretty "V" shaped texture.

I still will work on this, and have enjoyed the pictures and explanation of Roll Tatting in these books below
Well with as busy as I have been, I made my goal I set for my self so I am happy :)

Dress and Bonnet With a Baby!

No sure these pictures where seen sorry about the repeat,
because I tried to post them from my phone while I was gone
and when I got home they showed up under the last post!
Posing for mom, her Aunt Bee made the bracelet!
dress was little big better than too small.

I could not straighten this picture out, shows back of bonnet.

I took a 2 tucks in lower back to have fitted look.

I did add, "to my shame, store bought lace" I ran out of time!

Took a day drive to see a very old oak look what can be done in 6 hours!
from "24 Snowflakes In Tatting" Seventeenth Day of December"
Looks like a tree from Harry Potter.
This Tree is in South Carolina and is estimated to be 1,400 to 1,600 years old

Another started.
34 years later

Both are size 80 thread.

I Am Back

I felt useful while gone, my daughter caught the flu and twisted her ankle, along with a new baby. So I had no extra time, and just now reading all your kind comments.  While I was gone I received a beautiful package from Willnnabel, and I worried her a bit, but she received mine not too long ago! I loved every thing and can't wait to use all the items she sent. She is truly talented like most of you out there :) as you can see!
All the fun!

I love this mouse, so royal.

This made coming home extra special!

First thing this is Richard, Carollyn's husband. Carollyn asked me to send out a post for her, since my son and I serve as her IT department (hahaha) this shouldn't be bad. She wants all of you to know she is sorry for not letting anyone know why she hasn't had any posts of late. She is out of town for the arrival of our grandson and to assist our daughter through this. With our son in High School I stayed with him at home. We plan on seeing them when He's out of school.
This is Layden Even who joined our family on February 26. He came the Day before Grandma got there so she had to catch up on the snuggles. Our daughter and Layden catch up on some much needed rest and prove that no one switched babies at the Hospital.

Big brother gets in on the act, too. I think I see a theme here don't you?
Big sister decided she wanted to hold her brother since he was the focus of attention.
Then on March 6th several states away we got news of our other grandson's birth. Harmon Edwin came into the world healthy and he and mom are doing well. Carollyn and I wish there were two of us so we could visit both. She didn't get to tat for them but bought some cute little boots.
