Tatting Time of The Year!

My doily update, on the one I just eyeballed is fun, but if any one has the name or where it can be found or purchased let me know? I will be making a snowflake from this center I really like it!

Jon's book " Elegant Gems"  and tatted this one but made some changes and did split rings and did not chain behind the flower at top.  This snowflake I felt was little tricky if you ask me, even with out the changes, but very fun!

Received a bag of apples and look what my son did from some you tube video. Dipping fruit that yellows in orange juice or lemon juice prevents yellowing! (this was made with one apple)

  1. I will start with the apple, looks totLly brilliant, I have seen it like that before but have no idea how it's done, will be looking for the YouTube video
Love the snowflake, I have seen quite a few quite a few of patterns do em rom this book, I think I better put it on my wish list.
I don't know the pattern above, it's not one I recognise but will have a look in a few books I have to see if I can find it.
    Have a nice day

I can't recognise which of Jon's snowflakes this is, but your tweaked version is beautiful -- I like the shapes, arches, curves that form the various sectors of your snowflake :-)

  8. Hi, I saw your first doily on: http://lottiedahphotography.blogspot.be Is that correct?
She writes: "I'm sure I want to take the Queen Anne's Lace doily I made for my daughter. The pattern is from an old Workbasket magazine and I love it. It's rings only, no ball thread, no second shuttle. Here's a sneak peek":

  9. Yea she said that the Queen Anne's Lace is not the real name of the pattern and that Workbasket magazine is old and out of print but has many issues and with out a name it very very hard to find!
