Request With a Drawing for Tatted Lace (Frivolite)

Side note, more blooming Snowball plants,
"Mom I would like some earrings tatted in grey and this size", words from daughter drawing on left is hers.
Granddaughter age 4 (just turned) took pen and redrew moms.
Whatever pattern I wanted to make inside is fine
I make a face "oh that's all :)"
three mistakes and only captured two here last mistake on floor some where.
Back to plants "Asparagus"

Snowballs two different colors in one bush ? mmm

I know Robbin at Tatting by the Bay uses a cool computer program in her life above call "tutorials" at top of her home page  I need a personal class from her and desire to stop and learn it too.
So for now this worked out and daughter is okay with it.

And came pretty close to the sketch too!

My black eyed Susan's have bloomed too!

The one snowball is pink and other above is purple

And just how I got this earring flat as pancake???

Below is a you tube video with details of how to use sizing for flakes or projects.
 have a wonderful week

  3. That's pretty impressive! I'm not sure I could make earrings for my daughter based on a drawing, but it sure would be fun to give it a try!

    1. Thanks Suz, but now she want me to brush a paint on them and not sure want to do that. If I had known from beginning I would have put a silver or gold threat in it to start with :)

  8. Lovely pair of earrings, nice drawing of what she wanted, and you did a good job getting the tatting as near to the drawing.
Your hydrangeas are more advanced than mine, just showing buds here, asparagus foliage is used in florists for greenery, I used to buy it every summer for my arrangements etc.

    1. Thankyou, I will also take a picture of them in her ears when I see her next week, they do seem big, but that is kind of popular here. For now :)

  12. Dear Carollyn, this sketch is so wonderful!!
I love your earrings and I love the Snowball (Japanese name is Ajisai. In the language of flowers, to name a few, a white hydrangea means “Tolerance” , a blue hydrangea means “Mystery” and a hydrangea means “Persevering love” ).
Have a great week! Hugs <3<3<3

    1. Thankyou. What a unique fact about the wonderful flower, the Japanese have a better definition for the flower, ours now seems too quickly thought of :) thanks for sharing and stopping by.

    1. She is very alert for her age, and listens to our conversations even though you think she is not. She want to learn to tat very badly, but still a tad young just turning four:)
