Surprise! There are 12 cats My eldest daughter made the Christmas wreath years ago. |
pull one of the strings of the picot out! unless you make really long picots which are little harder to do for me I really don't use gauge. |
Two kinds of ears shown here. Don't forget to mark and switch shuttles at where tail meets cat to avoid confusion. |
This is genious tatting, carolyn, but i prefer a smaller amount of cats. I love their whiskers
ReplyDeleteSweet! That's a serious gathering of cats.
ReplyDeleteThat is a purrfect snowflake, I love the way you did the ears very interesting and the shape. Brilliant piece of tatting

Thank you, Diane educated me in The Real Snowflakes and said they had to be in multiples of 6 so that's why I picked 12! OK there is a little truth to what I said, but, I did this snowflake first, when I was figuring the tail length and the tails where too long and the curve too big for 6 cats it is a bit much but I like it!
ReplyDeleteThe kitties are so precious! I love it in the wreath too. The humane society needs a wreath like this. :)
ReplyDeleteI pick up my husband from work today, and there is one next to where he works I am going to drop one by, with a bag of food, and next year I think I'll make some up so they can sell them to raise money!
DeleteWhat a neat and generous idea!
DeleteHow adorable, my sister just lost her cat. This would be something memorable for her.
ReplyDeleteOh, pets really do a lot for us, and help us in many ways, that would be nice.
ReplyDeleteIt looks great in the shiny wreath. Very nice!
ReplyDeleteOh thank you, it does fit in there!
ReplyDeleteHow adorable! I love the cats with the wreath surrounding them!
