| This is a close up I believe the thread to be a size 30. I have not seen this pattern yet, but have seen drawings of this style. I always wonder about the hands that made this. |

DeleteIt's hard to imagine that much work going into something that only one or two people would ever see! I have one that comes from my husband's family that is square-necked. Your post reminded me of it - I need to get it out and see if there is some way to display it.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean, If I had more space I would buy an old fashion looking dress form. instead, I pin it to a hanger and hang it to my wall.

ReplyDeleteYes, to were it peaks through, that would be nice because the fabric is stained so badly I was thinking of replacing it with better fabric.

DeleteI am absolutely in love with the the tatting on this camisole!! If I had the pattern, I would tat it in that lovely charcoal color by Lizbeth and sew it onto black cotton, to make a light summer dress. It would be very fashionable ! What a beauty. This is why the French call tatting frivolité, because it looks great on underwear and it is quite strong in the wash!
