Tatting a Bonnet On The Little "River"

This little doll came to visit

Her name is "River" She is two months old!

We took lots of pictures, but she moves quickly!
She loved the bonnet I think the light weight of the size 50 thread, makes it so babies don't notice it much!

The bonnet was made awhile ago but finally put it together for little River :) Her mom is good friends with my daughter!

And no I am not finished but working on the next round of Renulek's doily this morning!

  7. Oh,Carollyn, both you and this baby look so happy!! It is really touching!! I love those bonnets , and I wonder how mums did it in 1849 to make their kids keep them on their head.
I have a real photo of my great grandmother's mother wearing a bonnet in fine embroidered cotton. So handy on a bad hair day,...

  9. The bonnet is just so pretty, its a shame the babies don't wear more dainty stuff like this any more. Sadly I haven't got any babies to make one for , all my lot are grown up now, we are waiting for great grand children to come along.lol
