Another ATC card. The framed owl is just tatting fun. |
I love frames, and found a cute print that fits in this adorable frame by Aux Navettes in her book La Frivolite when you use size 40 thread it is the perfect standard size of 3,1/2 by 2,1/2 for card. |
I did add snap and a little rose to cover mistake in tatting ooops! |
When we went shopping, I had to take a picture of some great crochet handwork, for a wheel cover on a jeep WOW goes with my motto "if you don't wear it, no one will know you made it" ha ha ha |
That crochet wheel cover would get awfully grubby on my vehicle, which would be a shame for such a lot of work!
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean they must only drive on paved roads and it doesn't rain that much in Texas, maybe they have a garage ??? :)
ReplyDeleteThe ATC needle books look great. I've done 'the cover up' myself. If you can't see it, it didn't happen, right? Those are such great ideas for the party! Your daughter did a great job!
ReplyDeleteDitto on the comments by Jane and Madtatter80. But it is eye-catching!
Thank you, yes it was eye catching enough to take the picture, and oh yea I am madtatter80 :)
ReplyDeleteAwesome tatted frames!!!
ReplyDeleteThat's a first, a crochet wheel cover.
ReplyDeleteBriony
x
yea really :)
DeleteI am speechless. All these pictures are amazing! My mum will be in stitches when she sees the crochet cover for the wheel. She drove a 4x4 in the Centram african bush for 30 years. Through sand, mud, thorns and ..Potholes, potholes, potholes,..
ReplyDeleteDid you look under the cover? I think this must be a very special wheel!!
I touched it and there was a real tire under it, but that's all I know :) It was real pretty and nice work, odd but worthy enough to blog about!
DeleteAlso the houses in the back ground are small play houses for children, might make it look odd too.
DeleteCarollyn, darling , the book is called "La frivolité aux navettes", which means "tatting with shuttles", and the author is: Edwige Renaudin. I know it is diffricult.
ReplyDeleteOoooops I see it now :) Tatting by little miss shuttles ha ha. Or is it mister shuttles :)
DeleteAll I know how to say in french is " the DuPonts arrive in an hour" and count to three :)
Great pics today! And maybe she or he did a second big doily for when that is in the laundry??! Lol! Thank you for this lovely post!
ReplyDeleteyea, you are right!
DeleteI did laugh, Ninetta! Good solution.
ReplyDeleteI love those little needle cards! Your granddaughter's birthday must have been great fun. Happy birthday to her! That tire cover is photo worthy. That's a n awful lot of work for a tire cover!
ReplyDeleteI know I was eating a cupcake and at this great cupcake place, and sitting out side and this jeep pulled up next to our car and it took me a minute for the brain to compute!
DeleteOk , there is no wheel under that cover. It is way to big for that car!
ReplyDeleteThe picture was taken with my phone camera and the wheel is the closest thing to the camera, also in the united states people like to put very large wheels on jeep and pickup trucks as a status symbol I can take a picture of a regular jeep with out a cover on it to show you the size, it might take me a couple days to find one in a parking lot. but it is true you can see the metal if look close.
DeleteBoa noite minha amiga ,lindos trabalhos ,a festa de aniversário de sua netinha ficou maravilhosa ,bjs.
ReplyDeleteThank you Cris!
ReplyDeleteHallo Liebes
Marlies
Lovely frames, your grand daughters party table looks great, I hope she enjoyed all the treats and the pool.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great piece of crochet, I had to show my hubby his one comment what happens when it rains, typical man comment he did agree it was a great piece of crochet. He's got no chance of me doing it I can't crochet.
Great picture and find.
Sorry this is late still trying to catch up on the blogs
Margaret
Oh that fine Margart, I know what you mean about the rain, but in Texas it really doesn't rain that much, hard to believe but true!
DeleteI love your cards! It's very funny.
