Well here it is, just pressed, haven't put any stiffener in it which I like to for book marks. Using Lizbeth colors size 40 Sea Island Citrus and Yellow Lt. Two shuttles |
I have done many variations of this fly this one is with different size threads and outer designs. |
I tried incorporating this motif long ago, and have many mistakes I was in such a hurry I am a little embarrassed to show it, but give you an Idea of doily use. |
Great pattern! I'm also really impressed with your diagram and penmanship.
ReplyDeleteOh thank You! I do have lots of white out on it though!

ReplyDeleteEverything in this post is fantastic! Love the pattern and the motif and the calligraphy. Wonderful.
ReplyDeleteThanks, I do love calligraphy and have taught it and painted it too, with computers there seems to be less and less need for it.
DeleteSo lovely!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Carollyn. I'm planning to make a food cover with Corina's beaded dragonfly and my inverted tatting dragonfly, I could add this dragonfly too. Love the doily, excellent way to incorporate the dragonfly.
ReplyDeleteThat is a good idea I need to start a dragonfly collection too!

ReplyDeleteBeautiful tatting and Superb calligraphy -... unfortunately I cannot view all the images:-(
Hopefully you are just on a phone and can view them later :) I do plan on having someone show me again how to put this on a PDF file so it can be downloaded soon.
ReplyDeleteLove the bookmark, and the calligraphy. Well done.
ReplyDeleteThanks Suztats
ReplyDeleteHi, Carollyn, i was thinking about your dragonfly. I xould rather have your pattern drawn as it is,than typed out. What you need to do is buy pdf software. That is expensive. Many your children could get a student (cheaper) version?
ReplyDeleteOnce installed on your computer th transfer is easy.you scan your picture in and copy paste it into pdf. From then on , it can't be changed electronically, unless someone makes a real effort, which shows.
Oh I figured if anyone wants it they hi light the picture with the pattern and hit print on there computer and then they have a copy
ReplyDeleteSuch a wonderful technique. Love the blue dragonflies against the white. Very classy.
ReplyDeleteThank you Phylis!
