I love this color, from Handy Hands, Lizbeth size 3, This strawberry is so big, Husband said it looks like an eggplant :) I have to admit I couldn't resist trying this after all the creativeness West Pine Creations have been putting into these strawberries! |
I wanted to call it "Royal Purple Berry" the thread color is actually Lizbeth's "Elderberry Jam" more on the shuttles I use for this size thread on the next post it is a new and old surprise :) |
Some of the berries with bees, as you figured out from the last post I collect bees! |
I have made other things from large tatting thread and it hurt my hands normally, but the rings were small and the thread was smooth it went well and my hands don't hurt. |
I use you my regular size strawberries now a days to put my(click on purple word for information) "fitbit" in to motivate me. |
I really became fascinated with this adorable motif from Ninetta's blog "ninettacaruso.blogspot" this is morphing from a square into a collar from her aunt. Made with numbers of 3 double stitches, check out what happens next on her blog she has great instructions too! Thank you Ninetta! |
Yummy, that strawberry looks good enough to eat!!! They are fun to make.
ReplyDeleteI made tons at first and then couldn't resist after seeing what you did to make the giant one!
DeleteWow what some amazing tatting - those strawberries are fantastic especially the very large one. I did start Ninetta's collar pattern but got sidetracked (as usual) so delighted to see that you have managed it.
ReplyDeleteI love the square so much that I was going to make a box with it, till I saw what she did with the rest!
DeleteYour strawberry pouch is the nicest tatted item!! Good luck with the fitbits!
ReplyDeleteThanks I need it! my little dog really helps me the most and I am forced to take her for a walk to!
DeleteAll your berries are quite charming!
ReplyDeleteThank You!
DeleteWow beautiful strawberries, love the colour of this new one, is this pattern yours?
ReplyDeleteThe collar pattern looks lovely in those colours, I have started mine yet, I am busy making some thank you crosses for the nurses who looked after mother.
Have a nice day
Margaret
I know what you mean Margret I feel like a kid in a candy store with all the beautiful patterns to make out there!
DeleteI'm enchanted by your little purses! what's more, they can be perfect to keep a shuttle!!!
ReplyDeleteThis big one can keep shuttles and a small project too!
DeleteI'm tempted by the strawberries! I've been working on Ninetta's square too. I'm thinking of putting three together to make a bookmark. After seeing Ninetta's latest blog post, I'm wondering if I could add a point to one end of the bookmark. It's very clever.
ReplyDeleteactually, I know what you mean, I was starting it to make a little box (with 4 of them and 2 on the ends), because the squares seemed so perfect and then I saw what she did next and was thinking of changing the color and making the collar and this box :) but will I be able to do them all!
ReplyDeleteFabulous strawberries!!!! :) Love the large one!! Would probably be neat for the new young tatters like Lace Lovin' Librarian teaches(to carry shuttles or small threads in)!! :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful square motifs!!! :) Love the bright colors!!! :)
Thank you,I like it more and more each day and it is heavy too!
ReplyDeleteLindos trabalhos ,adorei ,bjs.
ReplyDeleteThank You Cris!
ReplyDeleteI adore your purple strawberry! I've seen the harvest on WPC, and was thinking they'd be fun to create. You have your own basket of strawberries. Fab! Love that thread you used for Ninetta's square (thanks for the link!). I am really going to have to set aside some tatting time! (well, I have been tatting, but it's stuff I can't show)
ReplyDeleteI love your work and skill with your quilt art, what ever you do it look great!
