Really beautiful heart. I love all the different elements that add a lot of visual interest. Call me crazy, but in the first picture outlined in green thread I see the face of the Grinch. In the second pic I don't see it so much, probably because the green blends more with the background. Would love the pattern.
Hmmmm, so interesting ! I saw that 'face' too ;-) In South India, there is a dance form called Kathakali, where there is elaborate face makeup & costume (with symbolism attached to colours, placement,form, etc). Trying to count the numerous techniques you've used .... JR, JK, SR, Tallies, encapsulation (?)! Besides the usual chains, picots, rings !!! Wow. Have I missed any ?
I think you got them all I had the inter part done then I saw your blog, and thought, I better finish it. I checked out the face and wow I see what you mean, I guess this gives way to a new project huh? I kind of liked the using of different techniques because it is so small and felt like it was not a chore to finish. I love the brown monster doily but not sure if I can make it :) it takes too much time hard to delegate and go on to something else.
I am in a similar frame of mind wrt large doily projects. I want to learn so many techniques, try out so many things, that starting a large project, howsoever tempting, is a no-no at present.
I felt the same about using techniques in the heart projects, Carollyn ! They are so tiny, that one can easily experiment :-)
