This is last round that I can lay it flat (mostly), I love this delicate look. |
They called for the next round, which is the same as last one, but flipped. |
Remember Frivolenka's Anchor click here for pattern there is some English on the pattern too, I decided to use the very large Lisbeth thread from Handy Handys this takes less than and hour to make :) |
Such an elegant bonnet!!! :)
ReplyDeleteLove the anchor and pony!! :)
Thanks :)
DeleteThat bonnet is beautiful. Really delicate. You were brave with the bleaching. I used just plain hydrogen peroxide on something as I had read it works, but it was not effective. Then I mixed it with baking soda and it still wasn’t effective! Glad you got your spot out. : )
ReplyDeleteI did test the scraps I cut out of the ball, A while ago I did the peroxide thing and it worked with chocolate stain but did need more. I never thought about the baking soda.
DeletePhew, well done for getting the stain out. The bonnet is so delicate, lovely. I like that the anchor is tatted in much thicker thread - what a range tatting can accomplish.
ReplyDeleteThank You, tatting really can take on many looks, I don't mind the larger threads if the project is short. :Larger threads can be hard on the hands.
DeleteOh I'm glad that you bleached the spot, the bonnet is lovely, they must have been fashionable at that age as there are 3 in the book. I don't know of any modern book with a bonnet. I love the anchor, it's perfect with that thread.
ReplyDeleteYou are right, The Bonnets are old fashioned and I do love the old look, with the right outfit of course :)
Deletel'ancora รจ stupenda , il cappellino per neonato meraviglioso ciao un abbraccio
ReplyDeleteThank you My tatter :)
DeleteBeautiful, delicate tatting !
ReplyDeleteLove that Anchor Design :-)
Thank you, I will use the anchor again, it is my son's high school's symbol :) long story.
DeleteThat was a strong chemical attack, MT! So, the bleach did not leave a yellow stain? Good for you!
ReplyDeleteI love your pony and anchor.
But my favourite bonnet remains the one you made for your granddaughter!
Ahhh that is a nice thing to say, I plan on making more bonnets, I may just make something like my granddaughters again :)
ReplyDeleteThank you for the compliment
So glad you got the spot out of your beautiful bonnet! Nice anchor and you know I love the pony!
