All chains, and all fun in size 20 thread. |
Something about this look, I just love. It is different and I originally was cleaning off my shuttles. This was a bit of a mind teaser with 3 shuttle but enjoyable. |
I saw something like this and it was square and spun from the center. |
This is done with out breaking the thread making a strip then a turn and then another. |
A picture of when it was young :) |
I was so busy in April I forgot to show what I made for grandchildren with felt. |
Two different tails beaded and two had buttons. I love sewing felt. Rabbits really do hide in vegetables you know. |
Great little mat and I like your felt bunnies.
ReplyDeleteThank You the children had fun with them and my daughter is going to sew them into a children's quiet book.
Deletebello il centrino originale bello

DeleteLovely mat, interesting technique. And your bunnies are so nice!
ReplyDeleteThanks Ninetta I use size 20 thread while planning this out so I could really see what I was doing.

Thank you I was originally just cleaning off my shuttles and then got puzzled with turning to make another row.

Thank You, it is done with 3 shuttles and all chains counted in 5 between picots, I will have to give more instructions for turning when I start another mat its a bit of a puzzle till 3 row then you on your way.
DeleteSpectacular mat ! Cute felt toys :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks Muskaan, I had fun this will be a coaster I think but can make any size !
DeleteIs the mat your own design? It's adorable! I love the bunnies!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Yes it is all 5 count and 3 shuttles.
DeleteI'm guessing the first row doesn't form arches until you add the second row? And, oh, how I love the hiding bunnies!
ReplyDeleteThank you, a single string runs down the middle, as you switch it off and form the loops with the chain stitch on each side. In the last picture there are 2 rows shown. turning to go down the next row is odd and if like I will do more and take better pictures next time.
DeleteDon't forget it is 3 shuttles working.
DeleteI do like the pattern of your mat--so pretty. It has a delicate look to it. Your bunny creations are adorable!
ReplyDeleteThank so much Suztat!
ReplyDeleteSo sweet creatures:)
ReplyDeleteThankyou, I had fun with them!
ReplyDeleteGreat pattern - I really like it, as I love bare thread designs.
ReplyDeleteBut those bunnies! I LOVE what you made the kids. They are splendid!
Thanks fox, I really enjoy the felt, even though my stitching could use some improvement, I mailed them to grand children and daughter said the love them, hours of fun 😊
DeleteYou'll have to show us how you made the mat, it's unusual and pretty! Love those slippers, I'm sure the children must've been delighted with them.
ReplyDeleteThanks jane I enjoyed making them will have to think of more fun little items for them. And I will do another mat with pictures as I go, this fist one I wasn't sure it was going to turn out and was so in thought didn't take pictures as I normally do.
