DeleteGorgeous! Isn't it fun to see how the colors darken when wet? It gives me inspiration to try other colors.
ReplyDeleteThank You and Yes, it is and then you imagine the care that that people like Marilee (Thread dyeing)take when inventing the variegated colors.
ReplyDeleteThat is so very, very gorgeous!!! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, I have had this book a long time, but overlooked the beautiful patterns till now 😄
Deleteoh that is lovely and the technique is really interesting, thank you for sharing the video. I love picking shells at the beach too, when I was a child we also used to find pumice stones, very rare these days.
ReplyDeleteOh thankyou, I I think that is very interesting pumice I need some for my feet😄, and found sea sponges this time and don't recall ever finding them before.

DeleteWhat a beautiful doily, perfect tatting, and so tiny ! Excellent video !! Thanks for sharing :-)
ReplyDeleteI would've thought that it was a twisted double picot - much easier to handle & quicker to make.
Life is beautiful because of it's imperfections - only then can one truly appreciate the rare perfections :-)
Thankyou muskaan😄 I have learned to enjoyed the sweet and sour taste of life💟

That' really beautiful, so delicate and colourful.
ReplyDeleteThanks I am on the last round now but using 3 shuttles because wanted to use 3 colors.
DeleteBeautiful delicate colours, thanks for sharing a lovely video with you tatting, I may never see you tat in the flesh so a video is the next best thing.
ReplyDeleteThanks I keep forgetting to mute it, I hate my voice my son said it is funny sounding because I was stretching over the camera to see my hands 😄💟😄
DeleteBeautiful roses!
ReplyDeleteThank you 🌹💟🌹
DeleteI have this book for a good while as well and I never would have picked up on twisting the picots. May I ask how you knew to do so?
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous and will be stunning when completed. Will you fray the thistle part? Helen(Fidgement on Craftree)
That is a good question😄when I did the other doily on page 74 it said to twist the picot it doesn't say how but I was using a crochet hook cause my shuttle didn't have one and then I realized I could twist it tighter than hers in the book. On this rose she doesn't say to twist it at all, but I like the look of it💟😄💟thanks for asking good question I had to think😄
DeleteWauw, wat ontzettend mooi! Prachtige roosjes en zo fijntjes.
ReplyDeleteHeel erg knap!
