Last round, I wanted to use all the colors in the doily. so I had to use 3 shuttles:) I felt like I was making bobbin lace, ha ha ha (I don't know how they keep track of all those bobbins). |
ahhh amongst the perfume bottles :) Yes I will fray the ends and will use the pin method that muskaan speaks of on her blog :) |
That is already looking awesome!!! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks a bunchπ
ReplyDeleteBeautiful tatting and colors. It looks like there are a lot of fancy techniques going on in there!
ReplyDeleteThank you they are fun for me.
DeleteJust amazing! Love it.
ReplyDeleteThankyou Jane πΈ
DeleteAdorable work Carollyn ♥♥♥ Colors and your creativity are amazing!!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you NurdanπΉ
DeleteGorgeous! That is one doily I've really been wanting to tat. Maybe it's time to stop putting it off!
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean I have had this book for yearsπ¦
DeleteSuch a happy doily !!!
ReplyDeleteCarollyn, if you haven't frayed picots before (which I find unbelievable ;-P) then here's a tip from Judith which I followed - do not snip the picots from the center - cut them across. Then start the fraying process.
Eager to see your results
I have done them before and did the same thing you did started with a toothbrush and so on and the pin is perfect. Margaret has a wonderful angel patter where it is lots of fraying too.
DeleteWow, that is just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteAhhh thanks π
ReplyDeleteAhhh thanks π
ReplyDeleteThat is one very pretty doily, it's on my list to do, perhaps this will be the year I get around to doing what's in the "to do list"
ReplyDeleteI used a pin to fluff up the fluffy bits on my fluffy Angel, it's something so small but very effective to use.
Yes, you're the one that told me how to do that with your angel pattern. And I know what you mean about to do lists
DeleteWow that is such a beautiful doily, looks like a very challenging pattern, but the colours you have chosen are great
ReplyDeleteThanks Sally, I think I added more challenges by the smaller thread and 3 shuttles. π
DeleteWhen I tat this I'm following your lead. This is so awesomely beautiful. Are you using hand dyed threads or Lisbeth?
ReplyDeleteThese are all lizabeth threads when I get a chance I'll find the names. ππΉπ
