I did plan on this color, but forgot it was size 50 instead of 80. So I just did the pattern with one less double stich in the chain and one in the rings, between picots.
I actually did this in the light blue round, for the thread was a 100. So I just added two double stitches in the chain part.
Will see what happens :)

All your doilies are so beautiful!!! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks the single thread ones are a favoite, depending on my mood😄
ReplyDeleteLovely doilies! On the first one you can tell that the last row is a larger thread but you adapted very well and made everything lie nice and flat.
ReplyDeleteYes, I was guessing as I went just to get it to lie flat and going larger on outer curves. Normally I would have added more rings to outer curves but I needed to keep same rings to keep with the pattern for next round.
DeleteWell done, just goes to show, we don't have to stick to one size thread! Interesting that the mignonette is so forgiving because picots are not. Clearly one thread is more flexible than two. Worth remembering!
ReplyDeleteYes, and those little rings can and do slide when you need them to adjust😉
DeleteOlá amiga!
ReplyDeleteNossa que lindos trabalhinhos , são encantadores.
Amei!!!!!!!
beijos
Thank you💟
DeleteFour at one time!? They're all fabulous! I get frustrated with mignonette tatting, because I'm not good at the spacing. I'm glad to see that you have success with it.
ReplyDeleteThanks, that reminds me, when tatting like this I think of fox and how she got a tattoo on her finger and I am very tempted 🤔
DeleteTutti bellissimi, brava!
ReplyDeleteThankyou so much
DeleteWhat ever, all your doilies are so beautifull. Size doesn't matter by you, I believe.
ReplyDeleteThis is again fabuleus.
Very funny😄than you🤗💟💜
DeleteWow Carollyn! I like the first pattern and, I think the second pattern is much difficult to do. Very good job Compliments!
ReplyDeletehave a good day
sabrina
Thank so much I always admire your works too🌹💟🌹
ReplyDeleteCarollyn that doily is beautiful and how you are working out the different thread amazing work
ReplyDeleteLove your second doily, I have a friend who saw a doily I made a long time ago with this stitch and thought it was so fine and you are working with even finer thread than me.
Your work just gets better and better
Thanks so much Margaret you complament means a lot🌹😄🌹
DeleteOh my gosh - I wouldn’t dare try to use different sized thread. I’m not confident at working out those stitch counts, but you do a fabulous job! The bare thread doilies are wonderful - another thing I’m not very confident in doing. It seems like it would be very difficult to get the spacing just right. You make it look so easy!
ReplyDeleteThanks Cindy, there is unequal thread length but there is so many it is not showing up as noticeable if you look at the origanal one in his book there are many mistakes but it seems to be overpowered by the overall beauty of it💟😄💟
Deleteall the cloths are beautiful and I like your color choice.
ReplyDeleteThanks I am just having fun😄
DeleteWow , I love your pinecone doily and its true nature colors.
ReplyDeleteI have been wanting to try the colors almost as long as I have wanted to make the doily. I was jus afraid🌿
DeleteMignonette is lace I admire from far - too scared to try it myself ;-P Your doilies are spectacular showcasing some part of your personality in each
ReplyDeleteAhh you are sweet, and kind thank you!
