My mother-in-law makes the best cheese grits on the planet. Like most southern cooking, they're not very healthy but they taste divine. Your doilies turned out beautiful.
So beautiful 💕🌿💕 The clover leaves remind me of the Rose and Thistle Doily, but it isn't. Never seen or tasted grits! Can't say whether it's a good or bad thing 😉
It is made from corn processed with lye rinsed and dried and ground up and boiled and poured out on a plate with butter topped and served at breakfast time. You are very close with the pattern guess in the same book :)
It's a beautiful pattern and I will post a picture of the book and I made one a while ago in pretty colors and am using same size thread will post this too
Wonderful! I’d like to see them framed. Not grits as such, but I think it must be pretty similar to what we call sadza.
