From "The Big Book of tatting" Saw this on another blog and had to try, I made the stringy parts little long. So on final round, I increased the chain stitches to 11 ds and added the Josephine knots! And For stronger hold I did attach the smaller rings which they left free originally.
That's a wow, great pattern and beautiful, love the colour

This is a beauty!! But is it a star , s snowflake, a motif or a medaiilion. I am confused now.
ReplyDeleteWell they called it a snowflake so I am going to go with that! but this would make a great doily if you kept going and adding to it! Or with some felt under it I think a great coaster because this is large measuring 9.5 cm across.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! When the kids and I study snowflakes at school, we learn that snowflakes have points in multiples of six. If there are fewer or more than six, but not multiples of six, they're called snow crystals. Does it really matter? They're all still beautiful!
ReplyDeleteOh that is fascinating, next December will all make snow crystals ha ha ha! I did here something like that somewhere, does this mean we are breaking some snow law? but I just through caution to the wind :)
ReplyDeleteVery, very beautiful snowflake!!! :)
