A Little Bird Told Me, Lace Frames Again

As you can see this time I needed special thread for this one!
only "parakeet" will do from Marilee

I like my little border and to remind you all it is done with all sets of 3 double stitches and Josephine knot of 8 half stitches.

It's like a small handkerchief so it goes by fast! My needle work needs work, and I really should not do this in dimly lit room:) I will high light the print more in day light :)

My daughter lives next door and they fly into her garage and get disoriented, it is very odd this happens several times, and we got to look really close at the tiny dear thing, before letting it go was taken with camera phone before I got my good camera.

    1. Thank you, and I was a real treat to touch the little thing, still hard to believe how tiny it is and all it does, I often wonder if the raindrops hurt and where they hide to be safe.

  4. I really enjoy looking at these colorful pages.Yor tatted edging is very nice, I like your typical Josephine rings, and Marilee's bright yarn.

The ruby-throated hummingbird (juvenile or female?) is superb. It flew towards your daughter's bright blue blouse.

    1. This one flew into her garage they work on cars and motorcycles, and leave the door open. For some odd reason they can't seem to fly out It may because the ceiling is so high, I don't understand it but it has happened a couple times. They are nosy birds and have to see what you are doing and will fly into shed to check things out if you leave door open. Yes they are Ruby-throated.

  5. Your tatted border is beautiful! Looks very nice with the blue cloth and the doll image.
I'm surprised that the hummingbird allowed itself to be held. Amazing photo of it in hand.

    1. Thank you, they are very friendly and will come and eat nectar with lots of patience, but this one and others I have touched have gotten disoriented after flying into a garage, it is weird and don't understand it but that is what happens.

How lovely to be able to catch the hummingbird before he did himself sorry herself did any damage to themselves.
