Tatting Motif On Slippers

 The motif seems crumpled that is because you have to stretch the shoe out to sew tatting to them so your foot fits inside! The remote or old cell phone stuffed down the toes works okay :)

Before I got my little rabbits out the door, Husband said these do not pass inspection, so he went to work smoothing them out!

Any one remember Lucy Ball and how she wanted an out door brick barbecue grill ?
So she build one that looked bad, and then he took over  ; }

Need I say more?  Actually I have been receiving more instruction too but the help is really nice!

Well that Renulek's  blog did it again and I started her collar I got 65 rings and chains to go around my chubby neck so mine is going to take much longer than a little fox lets just say :)
I did get quite far with these two since I am not thrilled about using the ball.

  2. Love the little rabbits!

    I counted the rings on Renulek's photo; she has75 and that is in #20 thread. I have tatted that and it is enough plus to go over my head... I have a skinny neck. I wonder if this is too long.... : 0

    1. Wow I some how miss that post before! Your are right I will add more at the end when I come around to the end! Thanks for the tip, I was thinking it was a peter pan collar and I have a shirt like that one so I measured my shirt like that. Now I really wonder because she does not look like a large woman in her little pic. Collars are so different cause of the neck line and so I will add or asked her if I can .

    1. I have 7 pairs made now and will be working on more Monday. It is the sanding that really takes the time, I have a dremel tool but it is only good for so much and then has to be finished or fixed by hand :)

  6. Your motif makes the slippers very elegant! Love the rabbits, I smiled at the images of your husband making sure they're up to scratch! I'm keeping an eye on Renulek's collar. Yes, I guess you have to know what garment you're going to put it on before you know how long to make it.
