Frywolitka

Well got new  thread, and that gives me a sigh of relief.  But not sure if I like the thread count for the top ring of the clover cause if you look at part of the picture of the real doily his top ring look way bigger so I think I am going to cut this out and start over. I think I will change it to 8 or 9 ds on each side of the top picot. I need to double check what other said on
Intatters. Just checked and it is 9!

  3. That is a lot of cutting. I am on the next row and only went three of the clovers and realized that my bottom chains were not long enough to make the curve so I rechecked the counts posted. I too had to make a cut but have lots of thread to finish. As we all tat just a little bit different sometimes you need to make an adjustment along the way. Looking forward to seeing this work grow.

  5. Yes, if we do it right, it grows fast :) but Mr Strawasz must not have had people check his work, I have done the same thing with smaller motifs this makes it even harder when it is larger projects.

  10. Oh! Carollyn, the snipped off portion still looks so good ... couldn't you perhaps use it in some way -- sewn or glued ? Would hate to see it go to waste.

  11. You know, I gasped when I saw the snipped tatting. If that was needle tatting, it would all unravel!
