Well I really like the tiny weaving and there are things I stay away from like that interlocking chain, mine looks bad :)
DeleteOh my I love the little tally soap holder. I have never made a cluny but some day Margaret and I will, I am sure of it. It is great to see tatting used in such lovely and practical ways.
ReplyDeleteThanks Bernice, I have a you tube video and I shorten the method a little and it is not as hard on my hand, but the link above show a perfect way to make them (scroll down a couple pictures) I did start using a clip board and then invented this other way. but to do a bunch in a row may try this it will make you happy! But only if interested in it :) Only try then if you want to must keep tatting a pleasure sport!
DeleteFollowed your link and wow! I have seen this once before but forgot how neat her patterns look. Makes me want to learn how to make clunies. I think you've got something with the pink and green version. Looks like you can easily represent leaves with the clunies and flowers with the regular tatting.

DeleteI look at the overall piece, and the color blips aren't something that I notice until they are mentioned and I actively look for them. So, I think it is fine the way it is. I don't know anything about cluny tatting so not sure if there would be a way to eliminate them.
DeleteI stopped on the pink and green one because I made a mistake and if you look closely I started the leaf and should have started the chain, so I stopped and then got distracted with some thing else :)

I do not teach English, :) I use Google translate on any site that I do not understand. This can be done by "right clicking" beside foreign language and then click on translate page. Thank you and hope you understand this :)
