I seek out beautiful things with all kinds of fiber arts, and at "Scotty's Place " (She crochets) I won her give away! When you click on her sight scroll down to see the video of the drawing, her dog makes you laugh!
I even got a bonus coaster would you believe I needed this and put it to use! |
I even had plans for this baby! Thank You Pammy Sue! Hugs from Carollyn! |
To show off my phone I had as a little girl. You would not believe how many people don't know how to dial, this means I am old huh :) |
If you need to store a large doily and a box is not big enough, purchase acid free tissue paper and rinse doily in distilled water and dry flat then.... |
find a spent wrapping paper tube cut to size or not (can store several doilies this way) and place doily inside! Folding a large piece is not recommended the creases over time will hurt threads. |
date or sign and can place dry crystals and seal up. This is a wonderful method for all kinds of fabric and keepsakes. |
Aww...it looks great on your telephone stand! So happy you received it and are pleased with it. ♥
ReplyDeleteYes I love it!
DeleteLovely work all round, and great tip & pics about storing larger pieces !
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your win :-)
Thanks Muskann!
DeleteCongratulations on your win!!
ReplyDeleteLove the phone!!!!! :) I know how to dial it too, but our 70's phones weren't as awesome as that!!! :)
Thanks so much for the tip on storing doilies!!!
Thank You! It's a French phone :)
DeleteGive it a few years, and people will not recognise it as Phone anymore! But it is lovely! Thank you for your great storage tips, Carolynn!
ReplyDeleteThat's so true I saw a phone table with a little chair connected and my children did not know about that either.
DeleteThanks for storage tips. The phone is very elegant Sure, I had a dial phone but it was very utilitarian.
ReplyDeleteWe also had the stander black phone that was in other places in the house and it was very ugly, but this fancy phone was in the living room and I always felt very elegant using it. I would spend a lot of time calling the overseas operators to hear her accent, as I made up pretend people I wanted to talk to, Those were the days :)
DeleteLovely gift, and beautiful crochet mat,
ReplyDeleteI love your phone, I am not surprised the younger generation don't know how to dial, I am like you old and remember how to dial, although I never used such a great old phone like yours. And the beautiful mat looks lovely on the table with the phone.
Great tip for storage thanks
Margaret
My brother worked for a phone company and was able to place a converter on the phone since most phone all systems use touch tone and not a rotary dial. It still work but the line Is very fuzzy sounding but kind of takes you back in time. :)
DeleteWhat a wonderful tip, thank you!
ReplyDeleteNice win! Looks great with that fab phone.
