Been working off an on with this beading project, I was commissioned to make. |
This bird is called an Eclictus and only the females have this bright colorings these are some steps I use. |
She wants to frame Lucy and the paper behind is the smallest size. I have been having fun finding little trinkets to add to the beading and incorporating them in. |
the actual picture of Lucy is below |
Your beaded bird looks awesome!!! :)
ReplyDeleteAnd your cluny project is so very beautiful!!!! :)
Thanks so much I am enjoying both projects there differences keep me sane ha ha
DeleteIt is extremely rare to find a female bird with brighter plumage than it's male counterpart ! Must Google - Lucy is so beautiful :-) I like what you have done in beading it.
ReplyDeleteInteresting doily - the tallies look perfect :-)
Yes it is fascinating the boy is green and little boring. Thank you for the comments :)

Thank you for your complement!
DeleteLovely parrot, I have always wanted a parrot, but never got that far and they do live a long time. She's going to look gorgeous when you have finished with him.
ReplyDeleteClunies, they look good to me well done in trying them and the thread looks very pretty
Thank Margaret hope your doing well!
DeleteWow, so much work in your parrot, to wonderful effect. Your clunies look good - they look like flower petals that in nature would not all be perfect either!
ReplyDeleteYes that is a great way to look at clunies I like that statment!
DeleteSuch a pretty parrot and the likeness of the beaded version is amazing. Your clunies look great to me, but it is only you who can decide whether to keep the round. I think it would be a shame to destroy, please don't!
ReplyDeleteOkay you talked me into keeping them and Jane made a good point about them too so I will keep them!
DeleteI think your doily is precious and one or two wayward clunies would not deter me. Please do carry on. Love the parrot.
ReplyDeleteThanks Bernice i will keep it and carry on:)
