In the making of the pin cushions, I have thought to use different heart patterns this this is Sadies Heart and found here Dusenbury, TATTING-SADIES-HEART-PATTERN .
I wanted to make other flowers along with the African Violet for a bouquet effect. First a ring of 1 double stitch and two with beads double stitch and close ring. I make french knot with the shuttle 10 half stitches making 6 total in a row. Directions for the Josephine knot I have given here |
I thought I would make a cluster of flowers in the middle, even though I really did not want to cover the pretty tatting |
So here we are, the tiny red buds are just two french knots in tatting, then I placed two of them in the little bouquet Now to make the rest of the pin cushion! |
This turned out very, very pretty (ooo! ahh!) Too bad to cover up the center of the heart, but this works very well :-) Love it.
ReplyDeleteThank a lot!
DeleteThat's lovely! The posy doesn't cover the heart too much and is very pretty.
ReplyDeleteThank you! Jane!
DeleteLovely heart, thanks fir the link to the pattern, Your flowers really make the pin cushion interesting, it covers the heart a little but not to the point of not knowing it is a heart. Well done
