Love Potion # 9

This Pinterest Challenge was exactly that, harder to make than I thought, I had glue problems, It was a mess.
On the up side, a printable picture for a focal point is great to have, and I cut this out from a free download click  Here Wings of Whimsy.

I finally cleaned this almost disaster with acetone, it removed the glue.

I stuck an  cheap earring in the top of the cork, with little bits of tatting and scrap booking and glue below.
This all looks pretty but what a mess :)
the white side was a scrap-booking sticker

Have a great day
Now lets peak in and see what Margaret and Suzanne see how they did for the month of October :)
Happy Halloween now for the song

Snowflake Pattern by "Yarnplayer"

Here is a link Marlee's  free Melt Into Spring Snowflake
Click on above blue lettering for pattern!

I decided to try the Daisy Picot that takes a moment to recall, Just tell your self you are making a ring and with the second shuttle (that normally waits for you to finish) is going to tat like a chain (at where a picot would be) and then go about your ring like regular.

Thanks Marlee!

Only Rings

One shuttle tatting totally fascinates me, think I said that before.
I ordered the pattern Here You get the whole book, but this doily is called Tatted doily.
Direction were made for a larger size thread and I did 40 and I had to guess at the length of string spaces, I think this gave more puckers, don't mind and don't have to pin this one any more, nothing can flop around.

I am very happy and like Fox said this is the Penultimate row.

 This angle might help.

Have a great weekend!

Ninetta's Little Butterfly!

This little butterfly is actually not hard to make and very fun too, just follow the swirls around!
My black slacks worked great to show colors.

This is size forty thread from handy hands

Lizbeth, fruit fizz and Pineapple Parfait. I forgot a picot to connect at one point of the wings and don't forget to fold over towards the end of wings.

The body is mint green lt. it is not showing up well, but it is very light!

Don't for get to fold over when adding the second wing :)

For free and detailed directions click here it takes you to Ninetta's blog.
Thank You Ninetta :)

Queen Ann's Next Couple Rounds

A little more hair spray  on these tiny rings.

And boy did it help I didn't miss one and easy to find and connect!

My dog is a good model :)

I gave each section a little tug to give an arch to it.  The one on left has not been tugged at.

I am happy and not laying flat but it may work out later on will see :)

No more hair spray it is less flimsy.

I like this round, has a fun look to it!

Queen Ann's Lace, With Tatting

It is not the name in the pattern book but one I gave it :) the name is  "The Tatted Doily"

So many failed attempts (post those later) and started about  a year ago.

One shuttle patterns are very floppy, and with so many attempts and mistakes, I found a tip on how deal with it...

After each round  pin to a board and give a spritz (not a ton) of hair spray. This will be washed out later on. Many mistakes attaching to twisted picots.

When done, the tiny red flower also in picture, I figure it will be in proper proportion to this flower I picked early summer.

Begins Another Round of Jan Strawasz's Monster Doily

Well This is going well and to me completes the last round. I must be tatting a bit faster, for it takes 1 hour and 10 mins to complete semicircle.  I have decided to do one a day so I can do other things. If you notice I did all the last round to here, in one fill up.
