Half way around Yea!
I have a teenage son that plays "air soft" on the way to drop him off, I pass by this old church in Sevierville, Tennessee USA. I can only imagine this bell ringing in the valley, to call people to worship long ago.
I went antiquing I had to have it, it is from American Civil War time period ( 1861-1865 )
This frame is so intricate. It needs to be surrounded with tatting don't you think?
Your mat is looking beautiful,ReplyDelete
Lovely frame look forward to seeing what you do with it.
How old do you think the church is, amazing that it's made from wood, and with it bell. I can image a bunch of cowboys riding up it for a service.
Thank You, yes most old places unless they are right in town are made of wood. I figure some wagons with farm families too,Delete
Very interesting post, and the Corona will be another well-deserved 'glowing' 'crown' adorning your tatting head :-)ReplyDelete
Thanks Muskaan I think not much more tatting and it could be a shawl :)Delete
I know what you mean I figure farm people with wagons too, maybe only 15 people came for service it seems so tiny to me. I really don't know some old places have cemetery stones that have dates maybe next time I will venture closer to check for dates on them!ReplyDelete
You are making such wonderful progress on your beautiful doily!! :)ReplyDelete
Your multicolored doily is beautiful!ReplyDelete
