Another One Started

So I started another of the  latest spring doily by Renulek

This time I really wanted to get the center right. and choose this method.

I didn't tie it off till closer to the end, I have rough time seeing and knotting at the end and get the rings  out of order.
this works better.
below one is size 40 and other is 80.
I am happy with the first one and I am going to try to keep up with both
Have a wonderful Sunday and rest of the week too.

  1. I'm still struggling with thread selection. I'm torn between 3 colors with size 80 or 2 colors with size 30. Perhaps I should follow your example and do both. Your blue and white one is what I have in mind for the lavender and white size 30 threads. Thanks for sharing your solution to keeping the center rings in order. Very helpful!

  2. You are amazing ! 2 together! The 2nd one looks nice - a combination that never fails :-)
I used a safety pin, too - forgot to mention it or take pics. You always come up with very practical & easy solutions to share :-)

    1. I figured you used one :) and for some reason I know better and just think I can do it with out, it is just fidgety and string get in the way no mater what size thread.

  4. Oh I see! - you leave all the rings on the safety pin until it's time to join the next one, and then tie the threads of the first round when you get to the end. Very clever, I must remember that if I decide to make this doily.

  8. Clever you! I used tiny picots to join one of the rings to keep it easier. Next time I'll use your method. Thanks!
