Lace Snowflake With Button

I changed one button flake from last years flake by Lenka Hašková and easy to remember and fairly quick to make.

I used 2 different size buttons and size 40 thread. I put glue on it but did not need much. could have made it with out!

If you click on picture it should enlarge if interested in making this flake directions are typed over picture.

  1. Really pretty snowflake. I see the trefoils may be a little tricky since you don't make all three rings together.

    1. Oh it is not tricky, only to look at. You start your ring attach to button and then close ring, then start another you are done (like a two petal clover) and begin your first chain, clover, chain, then attach chain to ring hanging off to side, and start your ring to attach to button, like the start.

  4. Oh oh do love your button flakes, started one last night carrying on from your idea when I saw them last year. But I have to say these are more beautiful so will try this one. Thank you so much for the pattern, how clever to have the instructions appear like that.

    1. Tally, 'rs' here means Rings. 2 rings, each 6p6.
I think this is an amazing working - a trefoil effect with only Two rings !!!
